Kapow! sold us their remaining stock on this a few months back*. After seeing it for the first time
in years we were reminded of just how much we hated that we didn’t get to release it back in 2001. We had just released Cavity’s final
studio album “On The Lam” around that time, and were beginning to brainstorm how exactly to release more of Cavity’s catalog (which,
by the way, we managed to do quite successfully over the coming years!). As you’ll see by the tracklisting and it’s accompanying liner
notes, this puppy really was a collection of miscellaneous pieces from Cavity’s under-heralded mid 90’s reign. Don’t quote us here, but
we’re pretty sure anyone that had played with Cavity up until the Y2K era is represented here…a full dozen show up here anyway. As
for the tracks, they are all from previously released EPs and splits…all of which were out of print long before this collection showed up 8
years ago. The more we think about it the more giddy we get with memories…Aaron designed this thing (its largely hand drawn content,
which we’re pretty sure he sorta stepped away from for a few years around this time…) so it almost feels like one of our own titles. When
originally issued, a limited version of this CD was available that was housed in a coarse sandpaper slipcase. So while you search for that version to complete your Cavity collection, this version will have to tide you over…enjoy.
*Kapow! sold these to us for a good price. We were pleased. They even dropped off the stock to us at our office. And then we opened
the boxes to find out that 20% of the stock was for a band called Alleged Gunmen. So if any one wants a stack of Alleged Gunman CDs
please let us know. And if Kapow! is listening, we still want our remaining Cavity CDs.
